Accident Insurance

Accident Insurance can help ease the financial stress of an accidental injury. It pays you benefits for specific injuries and events resulting from a covered accident that occurs on or after your coverage effective date¹. Keep in mind, Accident Insurance doesn’t replace your medical coverage; instead, it complements it. For a list of covered accidents and conditions, please visit Voya’s microsite.

If you sustain a covered injury as a result of an accident, Voya will pay you a lump sum payment based on the policy’s benefit schedule. Benefit payments are paid directly to you— to be used however you’d like. It can help pay for everyday expenses like groceries, gas or utilities.

You have the option to purchase coverage for you and your family. Also, you are not required to be enrolled in a Powell medical plan to elect coverage.

Accident Insurance is a limited benefit policy. This is not health insurance and does not satisfy the requirement of minimum essential coverage under the Affordable Care Act.

Voya Travel Assistance

When you purchase Accident Insurance, you get Travel Assistance as well.

Voya Travel Assistance offers you and your dependents four types of services when traveling more than 100 miles from home, including: pre-trip information, emergency personal services, medical assistance services and emergency transportation services.

Voya Travel Assistance services are provided by Europ Assistance USA, Bethesda, MD.

How much does it cost?

Shown below are your rates for Accident Insurance. The cost includes Accident Insurance and Voya Travel Assistance.

Your spouse will be covered for the same Accident benefit amounts as you.

If you have coverage on yourself, your natural children, stepchildren, adopted children or children for whom you are a legal guardian can be covered up to age 26. Your children will be covered for the same benefit amounts as you. One premium amount covers all of your eligible children.
